About the Layout
This is an elastic layout that does not include any images. The left column uses ems for width and, thus, is affected by text size. By having the layout adjust based on the size of the text the layout does not break if prefer viewing larger text. Thus, the middle column will be narrower if you are viewing it with 800 X 600 resolution than if you are viewing it with 1600 X 1200 resolution. This type of style works well when you are using a menu, widgets, etc in the left and right columns, but want to let the micaptionle column expand for higher resolutions without frustrating those with smaller resolutions.
This layout uses css3 extensively. Internet Explorer does not support css3 and while the basic structure works on Internet Explorer 6 and up some of the coloring and other styling elements will be different.
